BigXthaPlug is poised to give fans a full-length country project deeper into 2025, but first he’s delivering a long-teased collaboration with Bailey Zimmerman. “All the Way,” produced by Charley Cooks and Bandplay, serves as a fitting hint at the imminent next chapter for BigX, whose own star has been rising significantly over the past year.

It’s hard to imagine the song not making a strong charts showing in the coming weeks, as the nearly three-minute blend of BigX and Bailey’s strengths, further commemorated with a new merch collection, sounds right at home amid the current crop of country crossover hits.

BigX kicked off his year with the deluxe version of TAKE CARE, his widely celebrated sophomore album that undeniably cemented the Texan rapper’s status as a burgeoning power player. It's unclear when, exactly, fans can expect to hear BigX's country project, though it has been confirmed for a 2025 release window.

In his recent interview with Theo Von, Morgan Wallen revealed that he and BigX “almost did a song” together, adding that he sent over a track but BigX “didn’t finish it.” Notably, Wallen didn’t explicitly rule out the chance of the unnamed song in question being revisited.

Zimmerman, meanwhile, last delivered Religiously. The Album. back in 2023. Like BigX, he also has a new full-length on the horizon. In June, he’s on the Nissan Stadium lineup alongside Megan Moroney and Shaboozey, among numerous others, for CMA Fest 2025 in Nashville.

In the meantime, catch BigX and Bailey's official video for “All the Way” below.

Shortly after the release of “All the Way,” Zimmerman answered a few questions for Complex about working with BigX, revealing that the journey toward this collaboration started with him being a genuine fan of BigX’s music.

TWC: What drew you to BigX's work?

BZ: What I would say drew me to BigX’s music before the thought of us collabing was even a thing was that his flow is really unique and his production that he has is just super groovy. And I just always found myself turning on BigX and jamming to every one of his songs. I was already a fan before he reached out to collab and when he reached out, it was unreal. It was like, man! I’m getting to do a song with a dude I jam every single day!

What were the sessions behind this song like?

This is one of my favorite questions because there are so many people on social media and online upset because me and BigX ‘teased the song for too long’ but the story behind that and the reason behind that is that I wasn’t a part of the writing process of ‘All The Way.’ BigX sent me the song through text message and told me that he wanted me to get on it. I was immediately like ‘Heck yeah!’

I got in the studio, cut the song, and sent it back to him. We were all so excited that he posted it and we didn’t expect it to get the reaction that it did, but when we had posted it, it was just a demo that we just got back so we immediately went into trying to get the production right, trying to get his vocal right, trying to get my vocal right. Just getting it perfect.

It took a while to get there and I know it was a long while from when we teased to when we put it out, but that was because we started with a demo and we wanted to get it perfect for everybody. In my opinion, the sessions were so much fun. It was a little intense because we had so many people wanting the song right now.

But I’m so glad that we took the time, put in the hard work, and now we have something that me and BigX are so proud of. Shout out to BigX for having me on it and shout out to everybody for waiting on it. I hope the wait was worth it!

Any plans to work with BigX again in the future? I know he's prepping a full-length, country-inspired project of his own.

In my opinion, I think we should collab again. I think we have more in the tank. I think we’ve got more heartbreak stories. We’ve got more to talk about and I think this is just the beginning of seeing country and rap collide like this. So, yeah, 10/10 would work with BigX again! That dude is a legend! Shoutout BigX for having me on the song. Love you, bro!
