Bad Bunny called for “ICE out” while accepting the Grammy award for Best Música Urbana Album on Sunday (Feb. 1).

“Before I say thanks to God, I’m gonna say, ICE out,” the Puerto Rican rapper and singer said onstage. “We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”

“It’s tough not to hate on these days. Sometimes we get contaminados [contaminated],” Bad Bunny continued. “The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love.”

Bad Bunny, who now has four Grammys and 17 Latin Grammy Awards, won the 2026 award for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.

His condemnation of Immigration and Customs Enforcement comes on the heels of increased crackdowns on immigrants in the U.S. and recent killings of protesters and U.S. citizens by federal agents.

Bad Bunny will perform the Super Bowl LX halftime show next Sunday (Feb. 8) alongside Green Day, a move called a “terrible choice” by President Donald Trump.

The reggaeton artist initially said he wouldn’t perform any U.S. shows on the tour for his latest album, citing the increasing federal raids on immigrants.

"Fucking ICE could be outside [my concert],” he said in September. “And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about."
