Miguel posted a loving birthday shoutout to the mother of his son on Instagram.
Last September, the Caos vocalist revealed that he and former Vogue China editor-in-chief Margaret Zhang quietly welcomed a son, Angelito, the year before.
The revelation caused a stir on social media, as Miguel divorced his ex-wife, Nazanin Mandi, after four years of marriage and nearly two decades of dating on and off.
Miguel dispeled rumors that there was an overlap in his relationships with Mandi and Zhang during an October 2025 episode of The Breakfast Club.
In the caption of the Instagram post, Miguel kept the focus on Zhang and shared his warm feelings about her as a partner and mother to their child.
“I literally can’t list all the things you’ve been for me, MZ. Advocate. Advisor. Bullshit detector. Protector. Defender. Dream builder. Lawyer. Accountability officer,” the singer-songwriter wrote. “Leadership Coach. Cheerleader. Marketing advisor. Creative Partner. Voice of Reason. Partner. Even when others in my circle couldn’t, you always went 1000%.”
Included in the carousel were candid pictures of Zhang and Angelito, whose face has not been shared publicly, and a photo of the family walking together.
“I want to say thank you. Not just for all the ways you’ve gone hard for me, but for your integrity and resilience, and sense of humor and thoughtfulness, and tenacity,” Miguel continued.
He concluded by thanking Zhang for giving him the “greatest blessing of fatherhood and Angel.”
“This is your year and you deserve all the flowers and blessings coming your way! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUAJILLO STRAWBERRY !! 🎂 I love you . We love you,” Miguel wrote.
The artist said on an October episode of Da Get Got Pod with Marshawn Lynch & Mike Robinson that he no longer approaches women to date but is “happy to introduce” himself.
"And again, I'm not in a position or a place just as a human being where I'm like, ‘This is something I'm doing now,’” he said on the pdocast. “I'm really actually focused on getting, being, becoming, [the] best version of me for myself and for my son, for my family."
