Latto has joined the viral seafood boil AI trend while simultaneously referencing one of her Big Mama tracks.
The post mimics other users who have shared AI-generated photos with crab legs superimposed over their real legs—with captions that mention them preparing to “get cracked.”
On Tuesday (June 9), Latto joined the trend with two photos on Instagram. The first showed her with crab legs, and the second showed her appearing to be wrapped in a seafood boil bag.
On Big Mama song “Hostage,” which features her boyfriend, 21 Savage, Latto makes a suggestive reference to crab legs, rapping, “He wanna crack these legs open like I need butter and cajun.”
Last month, Latto confirmed that she and 21 welcomed their first child together, a daughter.
Big Mama debuted on May 29 at No. 16 on the Billboard 200.
On Monday (June 8), Latto reacted to concerns about her first-week sales of Big Mama on X after it was projected that the album would move 33,000 equivalent albums. Latto reposted a fan who was streaming Big Mama track “Onnat” and praised the song no matter “how much the album sold.”
“Real cuz why are ppl that don't get a royalty check worried about sales?? My music always outlives release week. Big first week # impact,” Latto replied.
The LP marks Latto’s fourth album and follows her 2024 release, Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
