Latto is setting the record straight on her new song, “Business & Personal.”
On Thursday, the 27-year-old dropped off the new single from her upcoming album, Big Mama, where she addressed rumors that Drake ghostwrote for her on her 2024 album, Sugar Honey Ice Tea.
“Oh, they think Crodie wrote it, (Pfft) well that's a compliment,” she raps in the second verse.
According to Genius, fans speculated that Drizzy was involved with Sugar Honey Ice Tea due to a “strong ‘Drake-coded’ influence” on album tracks like “Big Mama,” “Georgia Peach,” and “S/O to Me.”
While Latto never confirmed that Drake was a ghostwriter, she’s previously shown her reverence for him. Back in June 2024, she responded to a fan on X who theorized that the 6 God impacted her song, “Big Mama.”
“Drake’s influence in the culture is unmatched,” the fan wrote, to which she responded, “Drake the GOAT.”
The two rappers have also worked together before. In August 2024, Latto featured on Drake’s song “Houskeeping flows” from his EP 100 Gigs.
In addition to releasing “Business & Personal” and announcing her Big Mama album, Latto also revealed that she’s pregnant, presumably with 21 Savage’s baby.
