Latto has revealed that 21 Savage was "her man" all along, after recently sharing her pregnancy news.
The Big Mama rapper, who recently welcomed her newborn daughter, discussed her relationship with 21 on the Thursday (June 4) episode of The Breakfast Club.
For roughly six years, the rappers have been coupled up, although both have kept the relationship private until Latto confirmed her relationship with 21 last September. At the time, rumors circulated that the "Business & Personal" artist was pregnant.
Around the five-minute mark of the interview above, Latto said that because she wasn’t initially "raw" about the details of her relationship, the public began to "run with all types of narratives." Last year, her and 21 were spotted on a tropical vacation, which heightened speculation that they were dating.
"I feel like I still am private to a certain point, but it's like to a certain extent. But I feel like when once you start reaching different milestones in life, you can only be so private," Latto said. "I got a baby, I can only be so private."
The rapper also shared that she mainly feels comfortable speaking on her relationship while she’s in the recording studio, where she’s "alone" and can "speak freely."
Latto also discussed fickle listeners who dislike how much she raps about being in love. "They want you to be crying like them and they want you to be in a relationship with an ain’t shit n***a like them. Like, 'Nah, babe. That ain't the reality over here. I'm sorry.'"
The experience of being a first-time mother has been so positive for Latto that the rapper took pictures with Keyanna Joseph, the mother of 21's two oldest children, which were posted to Instagram last month.
The What Happened to the Streets? rapper briefly appeared in the "Business & Personal" video and at Latto’s baby shower. 21’s birth name, Shéyaa, appeared on the invitations.
