Jack Harlow shouted out Brandy in a new promotional clip for his upcoming album, Monica, where he also talked interracial dating
With less than a month to go before Harlow drops his fourth LP, the “Lovin On Me” rapper surprised fans with a skit posted to his social media accounts teasing the project. The clip shows Harlow at a restaurant with two older gentlemen, one of whom is Ky Engineerin’, discussing everything from nineties R&B to interracial dating.
When one of the men tells Harlow that they can’t picture him dating a white woman, a slightly taken aback Harlow responds, “Really?” Harlow also shares his love for legendary R&B group New Edition and singer Donnell Jones before shouting out Brandy. “Oh, Brandy,” he says. “Man, if you ain’t grow up on Brandy, who are we talking about?”
Harlow previously collaborated with Brandy after initially not knowing the vocalist was the older sister of Ray J in 2022. The Louisville artist was on The Breakfast Club when he was bewildered about the singers’ familial connection.
Brandy playfully responded by warning that she would “murk” Harlow on one of his songs and “sing [his] ass to sleep,” before rapping over his 2022 song “First Class.” The Grammy winner would later be a surprise guest while Harlow performed the song at the 2022 BET Awards.
