Ricky Martin shared a brotherly embrace with Bad Bunny after being a guest performer during the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show.
Also a special guest during the Sunday (Feb. 8) halftime show was Lady Gaga, who delivered a Latin twist on her Bruno Mars-featured hit “Die With a Smile.” Celebrities like Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Karol G and Young Miko also made cameos during the casita segment of the performance.
Immediately after the show, Benito, Martin and Gaga posed for photographers near their trailers, and the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer later posted a tweet about the momentous occasion. In an accompanying video, Bad Bunny graciously hugged Martin after the Latin pop singer sang a verse from his Debí Tirar Más Fotos track “Lo que le Pasó a Hawaii.” The artists collaborated on the 2018 song “Caro.”
“They need to give me several hours to let me process and understand the tsunami of emotions I'm feeling,” the two-time Grammy winner tweeted. “Thank you @sanbenito, thank you @ladygaga thank you @NFL, @RocNation and @AppleMusic.”
While the performance marked Martin’s Super Bowl halftime debut, Bad Bunny was previously a guest artist during the 2020 iteration, when Jennifer Lopez and Shakira took the stage. Lopez and another previous halftime show artist, Katy Perry congratulated the “EoO” artist on being new Super Bowl halftime headliner ahead of the show.
