Jake Paul went after Bad Bunny unprovoked while announcing that he wouldn’t be watching the Super Bowl LX halftime performance.

Ahead of the showdown between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, the social media personality and boxer shared that he would be “purposefully turning off the halftime show.” Paul also shared his opinion that the six-time Grammy winner, who’s a U.S. citizen, is a “fake American citizen” considering his stance against ICE.

“Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them),” Paul posted." “You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”

Calling the athlete out as a hypocrite was media personality The Kid Mero, who started by telling Paul he got “beat the fuck up” by Anthony Joshua last month.

“IF NETFLIX TOLD YOU BAD BUNNY WAS GONNA WALK YOU OUT AT YOUR NEXT ASS WHIPPIN YOU WOULD BE WAVING A PR FLAG ON COMMAND 😂😂😂,” Mero continued.

Paul, who’s staunchly conservative, last protested against Billie Eilish after she delivered a controversial acceptance speech during the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. While accepting the Grammy for Song of the Year, the “Wildflower” singer-songwriter said “No one is illegal on stolen land,” which caused Paul to lash out.

“When Billie Eyelash gets her home broken into it's not gonna be f-ck ICE I can promise you that,” she tweeted.

During Bad Bunny’s acceptance speech for Best Música Urbana Album, the Puerto Rican artist was also in solidarity with the Latino community and called for “ICE out.”

“We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans,” he said.
