The slow-motion clip of Jake Paul being knocked out by Anthony Joshua has set a new record for Netflix’s live-event clips.

According to AllHipHop, the jaw-breaking clip from the fight that occurred at Miami’s Kaseya Center on December 19 has amassed more than 214 million impressions across Netflix’s social channels.

The fight itself was immensely popular for Netflix, which aired it exclusively. More than 33 million people around the world watched it live. It reached the Top 10 of Netflix in 91 countries, and also ranked #1 in 45 countries.

The event generated 1.25 billion impressions across the streaming platform’s global social channels. The fight was a top worldwide trending topic on X, ranking #1 in the US, UK and Brazil.

Paul and Joshua’s fight also set a new record at the Kaseya Center by being its highest grossing boxing event.

Paul was knocked out by Joshua in the sixth round of the event, when the latter’s fist connected with the former’s jaw and shattered it — leading to it being officially broken in two places. Paul had to have his jaw-wired, some teeth removed, and will be forced to be on a liquid diet for weeks.

In a conversation with his older brother, Logan, on the Impaulsive podcast, Paul reflected on the fight, saying that the reason he got knocked out was "mental.”

"He was imposing his will on me and being massive, and the big shots landing, it goes downhill from there," said Paul.

"I wish I had more than three weeks to prepare, put on more muscle," he explained. "Sit there and hit him. I should have gone to altitude to train, that was my biggest mistake. I felt good about it [the camp], I needed that extra level of cardio for this, and that can only come from going to altitude."
