NBA YoungBoy has expressed his concern for Nicki Minaj.
The rapper, who’s fresh off the heels of his latest album Slime Cry, took to his new X account to issue a public plea to Minaj, who he collaborated with in 2023 for the song “WTF.”
“@NICKIMINAJ this yo li n***a, idk what’s going on but I love you and I need you,” he wrote in a post on Saturday (Feb. 7).
YB’s message to Minaj comes as she is in the middle of receiving major blowback for her public embrace of President Donald Trump. She has even referred to herself as his number one fan.
Lately, Minaj has taken things one step further by labeling his political opposition the “DemonCrats” and accusing unspecified popular artists of satanism.
And after being the butt of a joke by Trevor Noah during the Golden Globes broadcast, Minaj implied that the comedian is gay — and also took shots at Jay-Z.
“Trevor refuses to come out the closet when everyone in the industry knows his boyfriend. Allegedly,” she wrote on social media, alongside a photo of her wearing a MAGA-esque pink hat that said, “Nicki Was Right About Everything,” and photos of Jay-Z with Aaliyah and Beyoncé.
YoungBoy, of course, has also been supportive of Trump, who pardoned the rapper last year. He played on Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan for his 2025 album MASA (Make America Slime Again), and told Complex’s Jordan Rose that the title meant to “follow whatever Trump applying. In every way... Enforce whatever Trump's applying. That's it."
