One month after her appearance at a Turning Point USA conference, Nicki Minaj will be a guest speaker at a summit held by President Donald Trump.

On Saturday (January 24), the Pink Friday 2 rapper was announced as a guest during the Trump Accounts Summit on January 28 in Washington, DC. The day-long event will be held to encourage parents to sign up for a new retirement account for their children, called a Trump Account, which was created as a part of the president's One Big Beautiful Bill Act that became law last July.

Under the provision, a one-time payment of $1,000 will invested into accounts for children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028 when the families sign up. Families can contribute up to $5,000 annually, and employers can contribute another $2,500.

Like other types of retirement accounts, there are taxes taken out if the money is withdrawn before the account holder turns 59 1/2. There is an additional significant penalty for early withdrawal unless the money is used for one of a very few specific purposes, such as college tuition or buying a first home.

The Trump Accounts have received criticism for putting most of their benefits towards wealthy Americans who can afford to contribute to the accounts on top of the initial $1,000.

In addition, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent claimed last year that the Trump Accounts were "a backdoor for privatizing Social Security," a comment he subsequently tried to walk back.

Along with confirming that she'll be at the Trump Accounts Summit, Minaj tweeted that the event represents the "true meaning of paying it forward."

"Early financial literacy & financial support for our children will give them a major head start in life," she wrote. "In some cases, they will end up teaching their very own parents how to invest & what to invest in."

"This makes me very happy. 🎀" the rapper concluded.

Minaj's growing connection to the Trump Administration dates back to November, when she spoke on claims of persecution of Christians in Nigeria during a United Nations conference. In her remarks, the Queens-raised artist thanked President Trump for "his leadership on the global stage."

The queer icon has also shared what many believe are anti-LGBTQ views by berating California governor Gavin Newsom for his support for transgender children and rooting against his all-but-certain entry into the 2028 presidential election.

During Turning Point USA's AmericaFest in December, Minaj spoke to Charlie Kirk's widow Erika about her "utmost respect" for the commander-in-chief.
