Someone freaked Drake’s Iceman album cut, “Shabang.”
An Internet user isolated “Shabang” from its original beat by Maneesh and added the music from nursery rhyme “Hickory Dickory Dock.” You can listen to the mash-up here.
“Hickory Dickory Dock” is a popular children’s song that dates to 1744. The song’s original lyrics are: “Hickory dickory dock / The mouse ran up the clock / The clock struck one / The mouse ran down / Hickory dickory dock.”
“Shabang” is the sixth track on Drizzy’s latest album, Iceman. The album was one of three that the 6 God dropped on May 15, with Maid of Honour and Habibti both surprise releases. In addition to “Shabang,” Maneesh also produced Iceman’s opening song, “Make Them Cry.”
All three albums topped the Billboard 200 chart dated May 30, with Iceman taking the No. 1 spot, Habibti No. 2, and Maid of Honour No. 3. The success of Iceman means Drake has officially surpassed Jay-Z as having the most No. 1 albums by a solo male artist ever.
Drake now has 15 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, pushing him ahead of Jay for the most chart-topping albums ever by a solo male artist. Drake is also now tied with Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums among all solo acts, with only The Beatles remaining ahead overall with 19.
According to Billboard, no other artist has ever debuted in the top three spots simultaneously since the chart adopted its weekly format in 1956.
