Following the release of his solo studio album, Same Difference, Rae Sremmurd rapper Swae Lee has settled with the woman who alleged he’s the father of her now three-year-old son.
As reported by TMZ, Marla Naranjo filed court documents seeking to establish Swae Lee as the biological father of her son, Karter Naranjo, who is now three years old. In court documents, a Florida judge was informed by the rapper that a confidential agreement was reached between the two parties and that the dispute had been solved. In the documents, he added that he didn’t confirm or deny the allegations.
The details of the settlement agreement have not been publicly disclosed.
In her original filing, Marla accused Swae of not being involved with Karter’s upbringing. Due to his travel commitments for work, she argued that he was “unable to provide a stable environment” for raising a child. She also said that he had a “history of misconduct.” She was seeking primary custody of the child and unspecified monthly child support.
It’s unclear if Swae Lee is actually the father of the child, but he has two confirmed children with two women. He welcomed a daughter with model Aline Martins in 2020, and a son with Victoria Kristine in 2022. He has joint custody of his daughter with Martins, but the status of his relationship with Kristine is unclear.
Swae Lee recently performed a solo show at Coachella, which garnered praise from Meek Mill on social media. The Philly rapper said that Swae doesn’t get enough credit, and he later responded with a declaration. “My dots are connecting for me to be the next Michael Jackson twin,” wrote the rapper, followed by two fist-up emojis. “Meek the realest.”
