In a post shared on Instagram, Pooh Shiesty offered fans an update from behind bars ahead of his federal kidnapping and robbery trial.
Across a dark background, the rapper appeared to offer his innocence in this case, which accuses him of orchestrating a meeting with Gucci Mane and holding him at gunpoint, demanding to be released from his New 1017 label.
“1, 2, 3 not it,” wrote Shiesty.
In April, Pooh Shiesty’s home was raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and he was arrested alongside eight others, including his father, the following day. Prosecutors have alleged that Shiesty, real name Lontrell Denell Williams Jr., traveled with eight co-conspirators in January to a recording studio in Dallas to rob and kidnap Gucci Mane, whom he was signed to at the time.
According to investigators, Shiesty and his co-conspirators set up a meeting with Guwop under the pretense that it would be to discuss the terms of the contract under New 1017, a sub-print of Atlantic Records. He allegedly held the rapper at gunpoint, demanding to be released from his contract, and Gucci Mane obliged. He and the others allegedly robbed Gucci Mane and others at the scene.
Last month, Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., was released from federal custody after a judge granted him bond, along with Shiesty’s alleged “right-hand man,” Kedarius Waters. The trial is scheduled to begin on July 6, 2026, with a final pretrial conference set for July 1 before Senior U.S. District Judge David Godbey. Pooh Shiesty remains in federal custody and has entered a not guilty plea. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
