Everyone Has Thoughts on Drake's 'Iceman' Now That It's Finally Here

Drake’s Iceman is finally here, alongside two surprise projects, and everyone has thoughts on the highly anticipated album.

Fans have plenty to unpack with all the new Drake music, but Iceman is the center of attention thanks to its more fiery lyrical content, with Drizzy seemingly firing shots at people he feels have wronged him. People have begun unpacking the apparent disses on the album, whether it be him reigniting his issues with Kendrick Lamar following their bitter feud in 2024, or him calling out DJ Khaled for his lack of support for a free Palestine.

Needless to say, Iceman is drawing mixed reactions from audiences, with some suggesting that he’s stuck in the past by focusing on all his beefs, while others feel confident the record is worth the wait. It’s too early to say what the general consensus is on the album, but the lyrics, copious beat switches, and overwhelming amount of new music has people talking.

There’s also speculation that the three albums at once tactic could be an elaborate plan to bring his record label deal to a close. “I’m better off independent, they should let him leave, yeah / ‘Cause I just wanna be free,” he raps on early highlight “Make Them Pay.” It’s not a stretch considering that the albums have been released through Republic Records, and he took legal action against the label’s parent company, Universal Music Group.

Check out some reactions to Iceman below.
