Two Bay Area stars are making major appearances on Drake’s newly released ICEMAN album.
San Francisco artist Karri and Pinole producer P-Lo both contributed to “2 Hard 4 The Radio,” a bass-heavy track that pays tribute to late Bay Area rap legend Mac Dre and his classic record, “Too Hard For the F***n’ Radio.”
The collaboration instantly caught attention online from fans who recognized the song’s source material.
For Karri, the placement marks another milestone in his fast-rising career. The singer and producer first broke through with his viral 2023 record “3AM In Oakland,” which helped earn recognition from Drake’s circle, including OVO affiliate Chubbs. Since then, Karri has received co-signs from artists such as Lil Baby, Kehlani and Saweetie.
Billboard later named Karri its R&B Rookie of the Month in January 2024 before also recognizing him as an Artist to Watch for 2025. Just days before the album’s release, Karri dropped his latest single, “Charge It To The Game.”
Meanwhile, P-Lo continues adding to a résumé that has helped define modern Bay Area rap for more than a decade. Known for his booming production, regional slang, and energetic sound, the Filipino-American artist has worked with names including Wiz Khalifa, YG, and Kehlani while also producing the platinum-selling hit “Act Right” for Yo Gotti.
Last year, P-Lo also collaborated with the Golden State Warriors on For The Soil, the first hip-hop album ever released by an NBA franchise.
As an artist himself, P-Lo has continued building his own catalog through Bay Area staples like “Put Me On Somethin’” featuring E-40, while also appearing on Denise Julia’s breakout hit “B.A.D.”
Their contributions to ICEMAN arrive as Drake’s latest album continues dominating hip-hop conversation online following weeks of speculation surrounding the project’s direction, lyrics, and rollout.
