Fetty Wap is back home after serving time in federal prison.

“I want to thank my family, friends, and fans for the love, prayers, and continued support—it truly means everything to me,” Fetty, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, said in a statement shared with The Breakfast Club’s Loren LoRosa.

He continued, “Right now, my focus is on giving back through my community initiatives and foundation, supporting at-risk young children by expanding access to education, early tech skills, and vision care for young kids and students so they can show up as their best selves.

“I’m committed to moving forward with purpose and making a meaningful impact where it matters most,” he added.

The 34-year-old's incarceration followed a sweeping federal indictment issued in October 2021 that accused him and others of being involved in a criminal enterprise that distributed drugs across the United States.

Fetty was arrested that same month on federal drug charges and was initially released on a $500,000 bond in November 2021.

The New Jersey rapper was taken back into custody in August 2022 after violating the conditions of his release ahead of trial.

Prosecutors alleged that from June 2019 to June 2020, Fetty and his co-defendants obtained more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine.

He later pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and, in May 2023, was sentenced to six years in prison.

Although he was originally due for release in 2029, reports emerged in November that Fetty would instead be released on Dec. 8, 2026, making it another significant bump from an initial shift to a release date of March 13, 2027.

Despite being incarcerated, he released the 17-track album King Zoo in 2023, which included the viral song "Sweet Yamz."

The project also featured a message to fans thanking them for their support during his legal troubles, saying, "I just wanna say I appreciate all the fans. Waiting, being patient. Rocking out with me, thugging it out with me. I just wanna let y'all know I appreciate y'all."
