DaBaby is denying that he’s had a sexual relationship with Kimora Lee Simmons.
The rapper shut down the speculation on Monday (Dec. 15) hours after Hot 97’s Funk Flex alleged live on the radio that DaBaby was once intimately involved with Simmons.
“I just seen my face and my name attached to some shit. Out of respect for the for the woman… I felt the need to come clear that shit up. That shit is 1,000% false,” Baby said on an Instagram Story.
He continued, “OG, I don't know what the hell you got going on or what even made you goddamn feel comfortable enough to goddamn throw my name out there so loosely like that. But that shit ain't true… I'm disappointed. I'm looking forward to you clearing that up, Flex.”
Baby insisted that he has “no tea” and “nobody” right now.
During his evening shift on Hot 97, Funk Flex offered an apology to DaBaby, claiming he meant to say Birdman.
“I apologize, my brother. I meant Birdman when I was talking about Kimora Lee,” Flex said on the air. “I'm not built for this morning show thing and I'm going to bow out later this week because it was such a small thing and wow."
He reiterated, “So when I was talking about the Kimora Lee thing, it was the Birdman, not DaBaby.”
On Monday morning, Funk Flex launched an unexpected on-air attack against Kimora on Hot 97, saying, "She's a bird, continue the story! What's her name? Russell's old wife, right? And DaBaby was beating that! Finish the story!"
Flex's remarks followed public claims made by Simmons' former husband Russell Simmons, who claimed he financially supported the Baby Phat founder for roughly two decades and accused her of taking his stock and preventing him from having a relationship with their daughters Ming, 25, and Aoki, 23.
Russell, who currently lives in Bali and cannot be extradited to the United States, wrote on Threads, "I gave u 50,000 a month for 20 years. I was ur best /only friend. I'm the godfather to your other 3 kids, until one day you stole my stock. I have been fighting for my kids love and bread ever since. You threatened that if I sued you, I would never speak to my kids again. There are two sides to every story."
Russell was responding to a People interview with Kimora in which she said she does not have relationships with the fathers of her five children. (She also shares a 16-year-old son Kenzo with actor Djimon Hounsou, a 10-year-old son Wolfe with former husband Tim Leissner, and has an adopted son Jaden, 19.)
In that interview she stated, "Usually I would say that I co parent okay, but the kids are with me full time. I'm pretty much the primary parent. It's difficult, but I don't know sometimes what other people are thinking. Guys are weird."
Later on Monday, Kimora addressed Russell's response on her Instagram Stories, writing, "My 'girls' are GROWN WOMEN! You know these are lies. Why are you typing from thousands of miles away in a non extradition country? Go negotiate and answer your accusers."
Russell Simmons has been accused of rape and sexual misconduct by multiple women and men. He has denied all of the allegations.
