Cardi B hilariously apologized to her parents for some of the provocative moments of her concert at Madison Square Garden.
On Wednesday (March 25), the rapper took the stage to perform the first of two sold-out concerts at MSG as part of her Little Miss Drama Tour.
During the concert’s second act, Cardi performs a sultry chair dance to her song “On My Back” taken from her sophomore album Am I the Drama? By her own admission, Cardi told the New York City crowd that this was the first time she was nervous to perform the choreography since kicking off the tour in February.
“Bitch, that's the first time I ever got nervous performing that part of the show … ‘Cuz my mom and dad are here,” she said, as seen in the video linked above. “I’ve been talking my shit but I won’t even kiss a n***a in front of my momma or my daddy, bitch. And I'm talking about fucking and fucking and fucking and popping and popping pussy up here.”
She added, “I know I’m shaking my ass, sorryyyy. I had to retire y’all someway, somehow. Let's keep the party going!”
It’s unclear how Cardi’s parents, who are mainly out of the limelight, felt about the concert and its provocative moments, such as when Cardi and her dancers dance to songs like “Errtime” in a carousel lined with stripper poles.
Earlier that night, Cardi encouraged fans to cheer as loudly as they could, with the assurance that she would “stretch” herself for the performance.
“I perform better when the crowd is loud. I feed off your energy,” she said. “Take a shot, bitch, when I count to three. And Imma stretch this pussy out. I’m about to give you a fucking show.”
That evening, Cardi also brought out Lil’ Kim and Cash Cobain as special surprise guests.
Cardi is set to return to Madison Square Garden for a second sold-out show on Thursday (March 26).
From there, her Little Miss Drama Tour will visit major cities like Newark, Toronto, Boston, Baltimore, and more before wrapping up with a two-night stint at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on April 17 and 18.
