New music from Bruno Mars is on the way.

Over the past 16 years, Mars has dominated airwaves with his solo hits, like “Just the Way You Are” and “24K Magic.” He’s also given his special touch to collaborations with B.o.B, Cee-Lo, Adele, Lady Gaga, and Anderson .Paak. And now, it looks like we will soon get Mars’ long-awaited fourth solo album.

On Monday, January 5, Mars took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an update on his upcoming project. “My album is done,” he wrote to his followers.

Mars’ most recent album 24K Magic was released in 2016. 24K Magic spawned several hits, like it’s title track, “That’s What I Like,” “Finesse” — which was remixed with Cardi B — and “Versace on the Floor.” The album has been certified three times platinum, and even won Album of the Year at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in 2018.

While it’s been almost 10 years since Mars dropped his last solo album, he hasn’t been absent from the pop landscape. In 2022, he collaborated with .Paak for a joint album called Silk Sonic, which boasted hits like “Leave the Door Open” and “777.”

In 2024, he and Lady Gaga collaborated for the duet, “Die With a Smile,” which appeared on Gaga’s last album, Mayhem. That same year, he collaborated with Rosé of K-Pop group Blackpink on the viral hit “APT.” — which is currently nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year at the upcoming 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Last year, he and Sexyy Red dropped the strip club anthem, “Fat, Juicy and Wet.”

As Mars has maintained his momentum over the years, his upcoming effort seems promising. Perhaps a contender for the 2026 song of the summer will soon arrive ahead of the album.
