Pop singer Kiki Kramer has released a new music video for her single “Shot in the Dark,” directed by veteran music video director Marc Klasfeld.

Klasfeld, who has worked with names like Lady Gaga, Eminem, and Beyoncé, said Kramer’s style stood out in a crowded music scene.

“Kiki brings humor, self-awareness, and vulnerability in a way that’s rare,” he said. “That balance is hard to find, and it made directing this video a really fun experience.”

The track blends upbeat tones with a slow-burning outro, hinting at the tension within its subject: knowingly stepping into a rebound relationship.

Kramer described it as “a campy, mid-tempo ballad about willingly signing up to be someone’s rebound.”

She added, “It reveals the quiet tragedy of sacrificing your own emotional needs just to feel wanted, all masked beneath an air of free-spirited spontaneity.”

Klasfeld said his goal was to highlight that tension.

“We wanted to capture the duality, the glossy fun of the moment and the loneliness underneath,” he said. “There’s a pop art energy to the visuals, but the story hits deeper.”

Each scene is polished and vibrant, yet laced with moments of unease and emotional distance. Klasfeld said Kramer’s strong creative vision helped anchor the production.

“There’s a strong sense of identity in what she does. You can’t fake that it’s viral,” he said.

Kramer began building a following in New York after leaving NYU’s drama program.

Her breakout single, “Relevant,” gained traction through grassroots support and streaming platforms, including SiriusXM and MTV.

It has racked up over 600,000 views, and her growing fanbase on TikTok now exceeds 45,000 followers.

She has since sold out club shows in New York and Los Angeles and signed with Suretone Records, led by former Geffen/MCA Records president Jordan Schur.

Kramer’s debut album is expected in 2026.

In addition to the video, Klasfeld is stepping into feature films. His directorial debut, “Do Not Enter,” will be released by Lionsgate. The horror-thriller centers on urban explorers livestreaming their search for hidden mob money in a decaying hotel. Instead, they confront rival seekers and a supernatural force.

The cast includes Adeline Rudolph, Nicholas Hamilton, Francesca Reale, and Javier Botet. The screenplay was written by Stephen Susco, based on a novel by David Morrell, who wrote “First Blood.”

“I have waited decades to find the right feature film project to which I could truly dedicate myself,” Klasfeld said.

“The passion I have found to make Do Not Enter all it can be is extraordinary.”
