A Texas jury delivered its sentencing in the rapper's murder trial on Tuesday.

The rapper, who was a minor at the time, faces up to 99 years in prison.

The rapper is currently serving a 55-year sentence following his conviction for the fatal shooting of Ethan Walker.

Back in 2017, Yachty released a freestyle of the incarcerated rapper's breakout hit, "The Race."

In a letter shared on Instagram, Tay-K thanked his fans for their support and expressed his desire to become a positive role model and not promote violence.

The 22-year-old rapper made the claim via Twitter on Saturday: 'Dude in the cell by me killed his celly wit a tray n stood on his head, woah.'

Tay-K was 19 when he was convicted and later sentenced to 55 years behind bars in connection with the death of 21-year-old Ethan Walker in Texas.

Representatives for Tay-K issue a tweet denying that the 20-year-old rapper/convicted murderer got time tacked onto his sentence for stabbing a guard.

Back in July, Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in prison for his role in a 2016 murder, and now he's has given his first public statement since the sentencing.
