While disapproving AI-generated music, convicted rapper Tay-K prepared his fans for new material in a new Instagram Story.
On Wednesday (June 10), the Arlington, Texas-raised artist, who’s serving two concurrent sentences for murder, posted an animated version of himself with an announcement about new music. The day before, “The Race” rapper posted a teaser that showed the same cartoon being released from prison.
“Love Y'all #RR4L We finna push this creative shit in A new direction,” Tay-K’s Instagram Story read.
“Every time they try to confine us to some circumstances or write our destiny we find a new creative way 2 use it as ammunition n emerge more explosive, with more intention, and with a trillion more crazy ideas Wit out Al of course,” he continued. “fuck Al ion like it, That Al Tay K shit was lame anyway shit ain't even have no real bars fr.”
The “AI Tay K” that the rapper is possibly referencing is “AI 47,” who’s been active on YouTube and music platforms and has a sound reminiscent to the 25-year-old, however generic it sounds.
The rapper also shared that fans could expect new music and shouted out his manager for moving the process along.
“n Stop tripping on my manager all this shit MY idea, Bro help me make shit happen, go thank that man fytb,” Tay-K continued. “One of the main reasons y'all finna get new music, Y'all needa go trip on everybody that left me in here n said fuck me !!!”
Last week, Tay-K’s sister, Kayla Beverly, posted an Instagram reel that showed her surprising her mother with news of the rapper allegedly being released soon. As Complex’s Shawn Setaro investigated, no further information about the alleged prison release has been shared, and Tay-K is not eligible for parole until August 7, 2049, and his earliest possible release date is August 8, 2099.
