The unique move means founder Jerry Lorenzo will likely play a much larger role in the company’s daily operations moving forward.

Bastien Daguzan has left his role as Fear of God's Chief Executive after the LA-based luxury streetwear brand decided to pivot to a new leadership model.

According to Hypebeast, Daguzan stepped away following the company's strategic internal decision to completely eliminate the CEO role from its organizational structure.

"Our responsibility extends beyond the successes and failures of the tangible," the company said of the move in a brief statement. "We are committed to an eternal vision guided by alignment, intention, and consideration."

Sources close to the matter told Hypebeast that the restructuring "naturally paves the way for founder Jerry Lorenzo to step up and play a much larger, hands-on role in the company’s daily operations moving forward."

However, when asked for confirmation, Fear of God declined to comment further on who would manage the corporate pipeline following the departure of Daguzan.

Fear of God was launched by Lorenzo in 2013. It has since gone on to catch the attention of the likes of Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, and the late Virgil Abloh, and has expanded from standard menswear into womenswear, premium accessories, as well as its Essentials and Athletics sub-brands.

Daguzan, who is yet to publicly comment on his departure, joined Fear of God in 2024. Previously the CEO of the Paris-based label Jacquemus, he was tasked with scaling the brand's awareness, international distribution, and e-commerce business.
