Brazilian label P. Andrade returned to Paris Fashion Week with its SS27 collection, "Sagrado," staging a show of approximately 30 looks built around three of the country's locally known festive subcultures.

On Sunday (June 28), the brand showcased a host of menswear collaborations at Le Salon des Miroirs, including looks in partnership with Nike, Levi’s, Phileo Paris, and Havaianas.

The show marked the brand's second consecutive appearance on the official PFW men's calendar, which began in 2025 when P. Andrade became the first Brazilian brand admitted to the schedule. Founders and designers Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim approached this edition with a deliberate return to their homeland. Models on the runway wore masks inspired by the culture of Rio de Janeiro’s bate-bolas, extravagant clown performers that enliven carnival culture.

“The bate-bolas were only an entry point into the much broader and more extensive universe of Brazil’s festive subcultures. Throughout the research, we realized that there were countless popular traditions that deserved to be explored. The collection speaks about these celebrations, their characters, and a cultural richness that extends far beyond the most familiar image of Carnival,” stated Andrade.

With the collection including designs made in partnership with Instituto Riachuelo and the Agro Sertão project, the show highlighted symbols, characters, flags, and rituals definitive to Brazilian stories that are mostly unknown to those who aren't native to the South American country.

“I would like people to leave with a greater curiosity about Brazil. I hope they understand that there is much more behind the country’s most familiar images and that our culture is rich, diverse, and filled with stories that still deserve to be discovered,” stated Kim.
