After picking up two golds at the 2026 Winter Olympics, figure skater Alysa Liu has become a modern-day American icon, and her newfound status has landed her a role as a house ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
The 20-year-old Olympic champion, who won in both the women’s singles and team event figure skating categories at the most recent Winter Olympics, captured hearts with her infectious energy. Alongside her acclaimed music choices and signature striped hair, she immediately stood out as a unique talent, and not just because she made history as the first American in 24 years to win Olympic gold in women’s figure skating.
Liu made her runway debut at the Louis Vuitton Women Fall Winter 2026 show in March, and now she’s building on her synergy with the fashion house as a Louis Vuitton house ambassador. She also made it clear that she had an affinity for the brand after she sported a black minidress from Louis Vuitton at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
“Stepping into this new chapter as a Louis Vuitton Ambassador is an honor and a privilege, especially for a figure skater to be recognized in this way, and I take so much pride in that,” said Liu. “As a figure skater, I'm an athlete, I train hard, I skate fast, but when I'm performing, I want to show you how soft I can be. As a Louis Vuitton Ambassador, I get to show you my style, strength, and softness because I know that luxury is in the details, and the same goes for choreographing a program and designing a collection. Life is all about connection, and Louis Vuitton has made me feel included. It's a really empowering feeling to be part of something so artistic.”
Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women’s collections for Louis Vuitton, added, “Alysa Liu embodies the modern Louis Vuitton Woman—confident, creative, and utterly fearless. Her dynamic energy and individuality resonate with the House's spirit, and she inspires us all to embrace audacity in every form.”
