Dallas Cowboys co-owner Charlotte Jones thinks “it’s awesome” that Bad Bunny will be performing at the Super Bowl in 2026.

Jones, the daughter of longtime Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, expressed her feelings about Benito’s upcoming show during an appearance on the Katie Miller podcast on Nov. 11 (around the 23-minute mark). After host Katie Miller, wife of Stephen Miller — the immigration hardliner who is currently the White House's Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy — seemingly set up Jones to say something bad about the artist’s upcoming show, Jones decided to instead reveal how excited she was to see him perform during halftime.

"I think our Latina fanbase is amazing, and I think when you think about the Super Bowl, you want the No. 1 performer in the world to be there,” said Jones. “Our whole society is based on immigrants that have come here and have founded our country, and I think we can celebrate that."

"People will be watching the game, they'll be celebrating music, and nobody will be thinking what comments on the left side, what comments on the right side…this is about bringing people together,” she added.

Afterwards, Miller attempted to goad Jones again, asking, “You don’t think at a time when his comments were divisive as it relates to President Trump, when everyone is just seeking this political unification, that you’d want somebody who maybe didn’t touch politics to be on that stage?”

Jones responded by downplaying the role of politics in the NFL.

“Yeah, I don’t think our game’s about politics,” she said. “I don’t think people tune in to look at politics. We do everything we can to avoid politics.”

While Katie Miller attempted to stir controversy over the fact that Benito will be performing at halftime during the biggest NFL game of the year, some celebs have started to speak up in support for what he’s about to do.

“It’s about time!” said Shakira during an interview with Variety. “I remember when we did ours that even having part of our set in Spanish was a bold move. Acceptance of Spanish-language music as part of the mainstream has come so far from when I started."

“I’m so proud that Bad Bunny, who represents not only Latin culture but also how important Spanish language music has become on a global scale and how universal it has become, is getting to perform on the biggest stage in the world," the singer continued. "It’s the perfect moment for a performance like this. I can’t wait to watch it.”

New York rapper Arcángel revealed that he thinks Benito’s show will be the “most-watched” in Super Bowl history. During an appearance on the YouTube reality series La Casa de Alofoke in October, the rapper said that it will be “the most-watched Super Bowl in the whole fucking history of the Super Bowl. You know why? Because from Mexico down, people speak Spanish. In the American continent, more people speak Spanish than English. That, and Hispanics are the second minority in the United States ... After the gringos, it's the Hispanics.”

Though there are a ton of people excited for the show, there have been threats that Immigration and Customs Enforcement will attend the Super Bowl to “find” and “apprehend” undocumented immigrants.
