Jake Paul says boxing may be on pause for now, but starting a family is very much on his mind.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer opened up about his personal plans during a recent appearance on his brother Logan's Impaulsive podcast, revealing that he's dealing with a serious case of what he called "baby fever" as he takes a break from the ring.
While discussing what's next following his recent loss and subsequent jaw surgery, Paul explained that his immediate focus is on supporting his fiancée, Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam, as she prepares for the upcoming Winter Games.
"I'm gonna take some time off to go support Jutta at the Olympics," Jake said. "And she's going to move to Puerto Rico, move her here. Maybe go snowboarding or something."
That led Logan to joke about expanding the family, suggesting his daughter Esmé might need some cousins. Jake didn't hesitate to agree.
"Yeah, that part," Jake responded. "Honestly, I'm ready, bro. I have such baby fever. Like I want kids so bad."
Logan reassured his younger brother that fatherhood would suit him well, telling Jake he'd be "a great dad."
The comments come just days after Jake confirmed he underwent surgery to repair a broken jaw sustained in his fight against Anthony Joshua, a bout that resulted in the second professional loss of his boxing career. Paul revealed doctors inserted four plates and eight screws into his jaw, forcing him to step away from training and competition for the foreseeable future.
Despite the setback, Jake appears to be taking the downtime in stride, shifting his focus toward recovery, travel, and life outside the ring. He and Leerdam announced their engagement earlier this year, and with wedding plans and Olympic support on the horizon, talk of kids no longer seems hypothetical.
