Jamila Adams, the former chef of Stefon Diggs, claims that she had a sexual relationship with the NFL player before she was hired by him.
Adams, who alleged last year that the ex-New England Patriots wide receiver choked and slapped her in his home during a salary dispute, testified on Monday (May 4) about the timeline of their relationship. The woman began by calling it “complicated.”
“It started out as friends. ... Became sexual, and we would meet up, hang out, and we decided I will come work for him in February of 2025,” Adams said while on the stand, as shared by Law&Crime.
According to TMZ, Adams also claimed that Diggs first contacted her four-and a-half years ago to inquire about her cooking services. By July 2025, Adams moved in with Diggs and cooked for him for $2,000 weekly. The chef would move out of Diggs home by December, around the time of the alleged incident. Before then, Adams was prepared to help the athlete with during his “comeback year.”
In November 2025, an issue was raised when a friend of Diggs’ child’s mother alleged that Adams was gossiping about the athlete having a sexual relationship with one of his female staffers, Lindsey. Last September, Diggs welcomed a son with rapper Cardi B.
Diggs allegedly confronted Adams about the rumor in addition to Lindsey being dismayed about the chef working in the home. Although Adams denied knowing the work that Lindsey does for Diggs, she claimed to have been banished from traveling to Miami with the football player amid the tension.
As previously alleged by Adams, she had not received a month’s pay at the time that she claimed to have been assaulted by Diggs. The athlete was charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery.
