Cardi B is shutting down rumors that her newborn child's name is Liem.
During a recent Instagram Live, the Am I the Drama? rapper addressed a question from a fan who asked, "How is baby Liem?"
"That is not his name,” Cardi told the fan. “That's my man's brand, his clothing brand."
Cardi's boyfriend and father of her baby, Stefon Diggs, sparked the rumor when he posted on Instagram an image of a baby-sized sweater with "Liem" embroidered across the front.
Liem is the name of Diggs' fashion label that he founded in 2022.
Cardi added on her livestream, "One day I'll tell y'all my son's name. It's so cute, I love his name. But no, that's my man's clothing brand's name."
It’s unclear when the "Pretty & Petty" artist will reveal the name of her son, who was born on Nov. 4. Her past choice to wait nearly a year before announcing her daughter Blossom's name suggests it may be a while.
Cardi recently shut down another rumor that her ex, Offset, showed up at the Miami strip club Booby Trap on the River and caused tension and a scuffle with the rapper, Diggs, and her friend Yonette "Star Brim" Respass.
A social media post attributed to GoatTV alleged that Diggs tried to have security block Offset from entering but was ignored.
After account @livebitez repeated the claims, Cardi stepped in to correct them, writing in the comments, "Not true at all.”
Cardi B shares her other three children with Offset. Their first daughter, Kulture, was born in 2018, followed by their son, Wave, in September 2021. The former couple welcomed their youngest, Blossom, last September.
