Ray J doesn’t understand why Stephen A. Smith has stuck his nose in the singer’s business.
Smith recently appeared on The Shade Room Live, where he discussed Ray J calling out Beyoncé and Jay-Z for, he said, not visiting or taking any photos with Brandy despite attending her and Monica's The Boy Is Mine Tour.
“Come on, say ‘What’s up’ to Brandy. Jay-Z and Beyoncé, for y’all to come to every show and not speak to B, I don’t like that,” Ray J said earlier this month.
Smith criticized Ray J for airing his grievances in public.
"What [are] you caught up in your feelings for to the point where you have to broadcast it to the world?" Smith asked "Why? There are worse things to happen to us than not have pictures taken with somebody." He added, "Why does everybody have to know everything?"
Ray J responded to Smith, opening by giving Brandy her flowers.
"She's put me in everything she's ever been in," Ray J said of his sister. "I'm dedicated to her."
He continued, saying he was “shocked” that Smith involved himself in the situation, and telling the First Take host, “this isn’t your lane.”
"How dare you say I'm in my feelings?" Ray J said. "You're in your feelings, bro. Why are you talking about it? Why are you expressing your feelings about it?"
He also said that his dealings with the Carters are “family business,” and that Smith injecting himself into the conversation was “disrespectful.”
When Ray J called out Beyoncé and Hov, he also claimed that they came to “every show” and never take photos with Brandy like they do Monica. The superstar pair were indeed in the house when the tour came to Los Angeles.
“Y’all walk by Brandy’s room and never say what’s up,” he said. He also shared that he was “crashing out” for his sister, captioning the Instagram video, “THIS IS COMING FROM THE HEART!! And I LOVE MY FAMILY AND I LOVE JAY AND BEY!! ——BRANDY AND THE FAMILY DID NOT CO-SIGN THIS! - SHES SUPER FOCUSED ON MAKING EVERY SHOW GREAT! - I WILL PROB GET IN TROUBLE FOR THIS!! - BUT I LOVE JAY Z AND BEY!!”
