Monica seems to be all about the jokes, taking Ray J’s phone away during a recent show following comments he made about Jay-Z, Beyoncé and his sister, Brandy.
On Thursday (December 4), Ray J was spotted in attendance at Atlanta's State Farm Arena, as part of Brandy and Monica's Boy Is Mine tour.
"Before we leave here, I am going to take Ray J’s phone," Monica joked, walking to the side of the stage to take away his phone. "Ray J, give me the phone… give me the phone, Ray."
After walking away with his phone, she thanked him for giving it to her. "We love you, Ray J," she said. "Y’all make some noise for Ray J. He’s not just Brandy’s brother, but he’s my brother, too."
Brandy added: "I hope you know I’m [gonna] have to hear this all night, 'Monica is my sister now!'"
The funny moment comes after Ray J appeared to call out Beyoncé and Hov for apparently not taking pictures with Brandy, despite showing up at multiple dates on the Boy Is Mine tour and taking pictures with Monica.
"N***as need to pull up when they pull up to the show," said Ray J. "Come on, say 'what’s up' to Brandy. Jay-Z and Beyonce, for y’all to come to every show and not speak to B. I don’t like that. … Y’all walk by Brandy’s room and never say what’s up." In the caption of the video, which was shared on Instagram, he said that he was "crashing out" for his sister.
It also comes after Ray J was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at the mother of his children, Princess Love, during a stream on Twitch.
He later addressed the situation and said he "would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love." During a brief chat with TMZ, he added that he "didn’t like" his ex’s family members "being in [his] private space near his child."
