Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield have tied the knot.
On Saturday, the Olympians said their I do’s at The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge in Trenton, Georgia. Photos shared by Vogue show Bromfield wearing a floor-length corset-style wedding gown embellished with stones and lace, while Lyles wore a metallic brown three-piece suit.
“The wedding blended American and Jamaican traditions in honor of the athlete couple’s respective backgrounds, with a special performance by gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard and plenty of dancing,” Vogue captioned the photo set on Instagram.
The track and field athletes have been involved since 2017, when Bromfield reached out to Lyles via IG.
“Junelle decided to slide into my DMs, asking me the question, ‘Do you cook?’ And so from there, it led to a very long seven-year story of us eventually meeting, falling in love, being able to be with each other, not being able to be with each other, and then finally getting into a relationship where we have always stayed together—and now have gotten married,” the groom told Vogue.
Lyles later asked her out again in 2022, and two years later, he proposed to his bride in front of a floral arrangement that read, “Will you marry me?”
Last April, Lyles joked about freestyling his vows. “I have a bet going on with my brother's girlfriend,” Lyles told the publication The Knot. “I told her about two years ago that I would wing my vows, and I stand true to that.”
But Bomfield explained she’s a planner: “I most definitely will not. I get nervous in big crowds, so I need to write my vows.”
