Noah Lyles has just proposed to his girlfriend and fellow Olympic runner Junelle Bromfield.
On Saturday, Lyles shared an Instagram post highlighting when he proposed to the 26-year-old. The video showed Lyles and Bromfield walking hand in hand through flower petals and posters of the couple throughout the years.
At the end of a walkway was an assortment of candles and a sizeable floral heart display with a sign that read, "Will You MARRY ME?" Lyles got on one knee and asked Bromfield to be his wife, to which she said yes and sealed the deal with a hug and kiss.
"To My Future Wife I Will Love You Forever 💍," Lyles captioned the touching video. In her own post, Bromfield wrote, "ENGAGED💍🥺."
Lyles and Bromfield met in 2017 when she hit up Lyles' DMs, and they went on a first date that didn't go too well. They remained friends up until Lyles asked her back out in 2022 and they've been together ever since.
In an interview with the Fast Lane Lifestyle podcast in June 2024, Lyles said he and Bromfield would "grow old together" and that their love was "going to be forever." The couple chatted with the Inside Track podcast in March, and Bromfield spoke about what made her fall for the Olympic gold medalist.
"When we became friends, I told him that I liked him because of [his] brutal honesty," Brumfield said of Lyles during the same episode. "That's what drew me to him."
Lyles added, "Hearing stuff like that I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I need this woman in my life.'...I already liked you but that's a solidified answer of like, okay, we're going to grow old together, and it's going to be forever, and it's going to be constant. Hearing things like that is like, yeah, I'd want a woman like that to raise my kids."
