The Seahawks legend’s profanity-filled appearance during Amazon Prime’s pregame show kept producers hitting the censor button.

Marshawn Lynch doesn’t really do “broadcast decorum,” and Amazon Prime Video learned that lesson in real time during the NFC showdown between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks.

With the two teams tied atop the NFC standings and the game carrying real implications for the conference’s No. 1 seed, Prime brought out a Seattle legend for the pregame show.

According to Sports Illustrated, Lynch joined Charissa Thompson, Tony Gonzalez, Andrew Whitworth, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Richard Sherman at Lumen Field to preview the matchup. What followed was less X’s and O’s and more uncensored Marshawn Lynch energy—at least until the producers stepped in.

From the moment his mic went live, Lynch had Amazon’s delay button working overtime. He spoke freely, casually, and enthusiastically, treating the pregame desk more like a backyard hang than a nationally streamed broadcast.

One of the first censored moments came when Lynch scanned the crowd, joking about not seeing as many fans wearing his jersey anymore. Whatever he said next didn’t make it past Prime’s audio team, though his delivery alone made it clear he wasn’t mincing words.

Things got even more scrambled when Lynch misunderstood a question about the Rams–Seahawks rivalry. Hearing “robbery” instead of “rivalry,” he launched into a response that once again triggered the censor, leaving the panel laughing while the audience filled in the blanks.

Later, when Fitzpatrick started talking about pushing the ball downfield against the Rams, Lynch chimed in with his own football philosophy. His solution was simple and very on-brand, advocating for running the ball—an idea Whitworth openly agreed with—though the exact phrasing didn’t survive the broadcast intact.

The most unexpected detour came when Lynch began talking about a trip to Ireland, casually mentioning Game of Thrones and joking about trying to get a dragon from the show’s creators. That story, too, arrived heavily edited thanks to a few choice words along the way.
