Russell Wilson will join CBS Sports as a guest analyst for NFL Week 14 coverage, taking part in both NFL Today+ and the network’s flagship pregame show, The NFL Today.

According to CBS Sports, the appearance is scheduled during the New York Giants’ bye week and does not change Wilson’s status as an active NFL player.

The 37-year-old quarterback signed with the Giants this past offseason on a one-year, $10.5 million deal after previous stops with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

He opened the 2025 season as New York’s starting quarterback but was benched following an 0–3 start. Rookie Jaxson Dart, selected 25th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, was named the starter in Week 4 and has remained under center since.

Wilson has appeared in limited action since the switch. In his three starts earlier this season, he completed 65 of 110 passes for 778 yards, with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

The Giants elected to continue developing Dart, who has produced multiple solid performances, including a 24-of-33, 191-yard, 2-touchdown performance in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers.

The CBS Sports role marks Wilson’s first guest analyst appearance during an active NFL season. His duties will include participating in studio discussions, pregame analysis, and digital segments tied to CBS’s Sunday coverage lineup. The network often features active and recently retired players in guest roles, particularly during bye weeks.

Wilson brings extensive experience to the broadcast. A 14-year NFL veteran, he has made more than 200 regular-season starts and 17 postseason appearances.

He played in two Super Bowls and was the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, who defeated the Denver Broncos 43–8 in Super Bowl XLVIII. He earned 10 Pro Bowl selections during his career, most of them during his tenure in Seattle.

The Week 14 studio appearance follows other off-field activity for Wilson this season. Last month, he launched a Cameo account offering personalized video messages to fans for $333 per request. A portion of proceeds from those videos—3 percent per purchase—benefits the Why Not You Foundation, the nonprofit organization Wilson founded in 2014.

Although he is appearing on a national broadcast, Wilson has stated that his primary focus remains playing football. He has said he intends to pursue a 15th NFL season in 2026 and hopes to secure another opportunity to compete for a starting role.

“I’m just excited for the next opportunity to step between the white lines,” Wilson said recently. “I’m not going to stop swinging.”
