Jake Paul has never been shy about making a big bet. This time, he's tying one to the biggest sporting event on the planet.

According to TMZ, the YouTuber-turned-boxer announced on Friday, June 12, that his platform Betr has taken a massive position on the United States winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a move tied to a promotion that would hand out roughly $1.776 million in free spins to users if the Americans somehow lift the trophy this summer. It's the largest single position currently placed on Team USA through the prediction market platform Polymarket.

Betr says it used Polymarket to hedge the cost of the promotion, effectively turning a potential giveaway into a financial position tied directly to the tournament's outcome. If the U.S. wins, the value of the position would offset the promotional payout. If it doesn't, the giveaway never triggers.

For Paul, the announcement combines two things that have become central to his business empire: sports and betting.

"I am placing the largest position of my life on the United States to win the World Cup," Paul said. "Why? Because I love this country."

He added that the move allows him to both celebrate and hedge the company's exposure from the promotion.

In many ways, the World Cup wager serves as an early preview of where the company is headed.

Betr co-founder Joey Levy has spent months talking about creating a gaming "super app" where users can move between products through a single wallet.

"We are putting real money behind our belief in Team USA, leveraging the world's largest prediction markets platform to do it," Levy said.
