The Best Air Jordans to Buy For Under Retail Right Now

Virgil Abloh Archives x Air Jordan 1 High ‘Alaska’

Retail Price: $230
Current StockX Average Resale Price: $582

The “Alaska” Virgil Abloh Archives (V.A.A.) x Air Jordan 1 High is the only re-release on this list of the most expensive sneakers in 2026 thus far, and for good reason. This Air Jordan 1 collab was one many fans didn’t think would release again following Virgil Abloh’s untimely death in 2021, but it happened this year thanks to V.A.A. and archivist Mahfuz Sultan. While it is one of the most expensive releases so far, it’s still considerably cheaper at around $500 than the original 2018 pair that typically resold for over $1,000. —Victor Deng

Action Bronson x New Balance 1890 ‘Planet Frog’

Retail Price: $210
Current StockX Average Resale Price: $603

The “Planet Frog” Action Bronson x New Balance 1890 is a surprising entry on this list given that the duo’s two other colorways are reselling for less than retail in certain sizes. Lastly, the sneaker released in limited quantities exclusively in London’s Design Museum and through Human Made and Undercover’s online stores. —Victor Deng

That exclusivity was reflected on resale sites, with pairs being sold for more than triple its retail price. —Victor Deng

Adidas Adios Pro Evo 3

Retail Price: $500
Current StockX Average Resale Price: $1,310

If there was ever a shoe that “deserved” to be on a list of most expensive resale sneakers, it’s the Adidas Adios Pro Evo 3. It was expensive to begin with, $500, thanks in part to tech that includes an Energyrim carbon frame that helps allow it to weigh in at under 100 grams in a UK size 8.5. It was also limited. But most importantly, it went down in history for being on the feet of Sabastian Sawe when he shattered the marathon record, running a sub two-hour time. —Zac Dubasik

Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro ‘Warning Label’

Retail Price: $200
Current StockX Average Resale Price: $1,742

Sneakers are expensive on the resale market for a wide variety of reasons. Sometimes it’s because they’re limited, sometimes it’s because they look wild, or sometimes it’s because of a moment they helped create. The “Warning Label” Nike Kobe 3, a version of which was debuted by Jalen Brunson for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, hits on each of those points—and that recipe adds up to the most expensive sneaker of 2026, so far. —Zac Dubasik
