Fresh off last month's "Adventure" release, Nike is again referencing retro video games with the next Low Poly Air Max 1 colorway.
Dubbed "Big Head Origins," the Swoosh confirmed that the upcoming iteration of the runner is inspired by video games in the '90s. While the exact inspiration behind the color scheme wasn't confirmed, it's not hard to see inspiration from Nintendo's iconic Donkey Kong series.
The sneaker features a sail mesh and brown suede upper referencing the gorilla character, offset by red accents on the pixelated Swoosh and tongue tag. Additional details include coin-inspired details on the heel tab and printed on the insoles.
Readers will be able to cop the "Big Head Origins" Air Max 1 Low Poly on Air Max Day (March 26) via SNKRS for $160.
