The upcoming movie Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender has reportedly leaked on social media.
On Saturday (April 11), an X user said that Paramount accidentally sent them the entire film via email. After sharing more than three minutes of the film’s footage, the user said that they’d livestream the movie if Paramount didn’t release a trailer in the coming days.
The footage, which some suspected to be AI-generated, has now been removed from X after it amassed more than 100,000 likes. In place of the video, a statement says, “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”
Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender is set to hit Paramount+ on Oct. 9 after initially being scheduled for a theatrical release. The film is set to follow Nickelodeon anime’s main character, Aang, as he embarks on a quest to discover an ancient power that could help his culture avoid extinction.
The leak of the film isn’t the only one to happen recently. Weeks prior, promo materials showing the adult characters were shared via online retailers.
Earlier this month, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie leaked on social media when several users shared camcorder rips of the film just as it hit theaters. The same thing happened to The Super Mario Movie in 2023, which racked up 9 million views when it was uploaded in its entirety on X.
