Nick Pasqual has been found guilty of attempted murder after stabbing his ex-girlfriend more than 20 times during a home break-in.
According to the New York Post, the actor is currently facing life in prison for brutally attacking award-winning make-up artist Allie Shehorn at her home in Sunland, California, in May of 2024.
In total, he was found guilty of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent, forcible rape, and domestic violence.
He's scheduled to be sentenced at a hearing on June 2.
When the attack happened, Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home around 4:30 a.m. and stabbed her repeatedly. She suffered slashes to her neck and a series of cuts on her arms and abdomen.
Shehorn was then found later in the day by her surrogate mother. She was rushed to the hospital, placed into the ICU in critical condition, and underwent multiple surgeries.
After the attack, Pasqual attempted to flee to Mexico. He was captured at the US-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca.
In the days before the attack, Shehorn had filed a restraining order against him, accusing him of attacking her on at least four different occasions. Shehorn claimed that he’d struck her with a belt, broke down several doors at her home, screamed at her, and raped and choked her.
Pasqual has appeared in several movies and shows over the course of his 16-year acting career, including How I Met Your Mother, National Day Riff, and Archive 81. He’d pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Shehorn won "Best SFX Makeup" at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival for her work on the film Incorrigible a year before Pasqual’s attack. She's also worked on films such as Babylon and Rebel Moon: Part One. She's since returned to the Hollywood make-up industry after the attack.
