Alexa Demie is known for keeping her personal life heavily under wraps, which makes fans all the more intrigued over what she’s like in real life. The Euphoria star’s larger than life character, Maddy Perez, is prone to stirring up chaos and is never afraid to speak her mind, even if it lands her in hot water.
But Demie? As it turns out, not only does she share similar traits to her character, but the 35-year-old actress also admits that she’s “gotten in trouble” for behaving like Maddy when the cameras stopped rolling. “You know, I’ve gotten in trouble for it,” she confessed in an Extra TV interview at the LA premiere of season 3 on April 7, when asked if she is like her Euphoria character. “So I think I put it away a little bit, but through her I can say it all.”
What Is Maddy’s Storyline in Season 3 of ‘Euphoria?’
Maddy’s storyline in season 3 showcases major changes going on with the character, compared to the last two seasons. “It’s about five years later, and she’s working in Hollywood,” Demie explained to Extra TV. “She’s working under a very prominent Hollywood talent manager, representing talent, actors, influencers… and some other things that I won’t spill.”
As shown in the series trailer for the third installment of the HBO series, Nate and Cassie have a wedding plot. Because of this, many fans of the show are interested to see how this will affect Maddy’s mental state. Even more shockingly, the season 3 trailer shows Maddy and Cassie seemingly repairing their friendship, leading viewers to question whether Maddy is plotting revenge, or if she’s truly moved on from the high school betrayal.
