Tom Holland's dad, Dominic Holland, has spoken about his son's engagement to Zendaya, and he couldn't be anymore happier for the couple.
In a post shared on Patreon, the elder Holland reflected on the engagement news, and even though he didn't reveal much about the couple, he said that Tom was more than prepared to pop the question.
"Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared," Dominic wrote. "He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear."
He also added that he was "completely confident" that Tom and Zendaya would become a "successful union." Tom proposed to Zendaya during the Christmas-New Year holiday season, and she's shown off the massive ring several times, including on the Golden Globes red carpet.
According to an inside source acquired by PEOPLE, the couple isn't rushing to get married right away. They're going to enjoy their engagement and continue working on their respective projects.
Tom and Zendaya, who've starred in the Spider-Man reboot film series since 2017, confirmed their relationship in 2021 and have consistently shared their adoration for each other. In a recent Vanity Fair cover story, Zendaya said how "strangely comfortable" it was to act alongside Tom.
"You feel extra safe with the person you're acting beside," she said. "I love working with him."
