Tom Holland doesn’t want his relationship with Zendaya to steal her spotlight.

In his cover story with Men’s Health, the Spider-Man actor shared why he doesn’t walk the red carpet with her at her movie premieres and press runs.

“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” the 28-year-old explained.

While Holland has been acting since his pre-teens, he’s previously admitted that fame has been uncomfortable for him.

“I really do not like Hollywood, it is not for me,” he told Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast in 2023.

“The business really scares me,” Holland continued. “I understand that I’m a part of that business, and I enjoy my kind of interactions with it. But, that said, I am always looking for ways to kind of remove myself from it, to kind of just live as normal a life as possible.”

Tom doesn’t view acting as his be-all and end-all either. He told Men’s Health that acting is a wrap for him when he becomes a dad.

“When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore," adding that fatherhood and golfing will be his priorities. “Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”

That might be easier said than done for an actor of his acclaim. In the Men's Health interview, Holland recalled getting recognized at a Los Angeles Whole Foods—while breaking up a fight between two men.

He explained that he leapt between the men and pulled one of them away.

"I can see that he’s recognized me immediately, and you could see the wheels turning, like, I’m really angry, but Spider-Man is telling me to calm down,” Holland said.
