Tom Holland doesn't yet know his way around the kitchen, at least for vegetarian meals.
The actor appeared on the cooking podcast Dish this week, joining hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett for a Christmas-themed dinner while discussing his cooking habits and the meals he prepares for his actress girlfriend.
“I really enjoy cooking,” Holland explained around the 16-minute mark of the video below. “And I would say, I am a fine cook."
He continued, "I'm starting to venture into a lot of vegetarian cooking. My girlfriend's vegetarian. So I've been in Boston these past few weeks, and she's been working, so I've been doing a lot of the dinners. And they haven't been great. There's been a few like, 'Let's just order-ins.'"
While he doesn't find the cooking "stressful," Holland added that he needs to have a "tidy kitchen" to get the job done. For his vegetarian go-to, Holland makes a chili con lentils, instead of the traditional chili con carne.
At the 38-minute mark, Holland called himself and Zendaya a "very strong couple" for their "unique" ability to relate to one another. On working together, Holland joked, "Studios love it; one hotel room." He also said that the Challengers star has a skill for cooking a "delicious" spicy vodka fusilli.
The entertainers, who've starred in the Spider-Man reboot film series since 2017, confirmed their relationship in 2021 and have frequently shared their adoration for each other.
In a recent Vanity Fair cover story, Zendaya said that it was "strangely comfortable" to act alongside her boyfriend.
"You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside," she added. "I love working with him."
