Jelly Roll logged on to celebrate finding "the best shake" he's ever had. The internet logged on to talk about Bunnie Xo.
On Monday, June 15, the 41-year-old "Save Me" hitmaker took to Instagram with a "weight loss update" for the followers who have tracked his roughly 275-pound transformation one progress pic at a time: "Swole Roll otw. And also WE GOT NEW VLOGS YALL OUT NOWWWWW."
There is, notably, no actual weight-loss update in the "update." Most of the clip is spent hyping up a protein shake Jelly Roll compares to ice cream and repeatedly calls a "sweet treat."
On a normal week, a plug like that comes and goes. This one went up the same day word got out that he had filed for divorce from his wife of nearly ten years. Which is likely why almost nobody in the replies wanted to talk about the shake — they wanted to talk about Bunnie.
"Never gonna get better than Bunnie my guy," one person pointed out. "Didn't this woman hold it down for you fresh out of prison?" another asked.
The comments kept coming back to the same idea: Bunnie was there long before the fame, the Grammys and the glow-up. “Got skinny and successful and now leaving the woman who put him there,” someone else added.
To be fair, neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie has publicly addressed the filing, meaning much of the conversation is being driven by speculation rather than facts. Still, for a post that was ostensibly about protein powder, calories and finding a healthier "sweet treat," a surprising number of people came away talking about something else entirely.
Bunnie, meanwhile, hasn't exactly taken a step back from social media either. Hours before the news broke, the Dumb Blonde podcast host shared a glam Story captioned "She's getting her sparkle back," and has since posted herself lip-syncing to a Nickelback breakup anthem on Instagram.
For now, though, the only confirmed details remain the court records themselves. According to the filing — which was first obtained by TMZ — Jelly Roll and Bunnie separated on May 9, with the divorce petition filed nine days later.
