Streamer Pokimane said she's been overcome with nightmares in the months since D4vd was accused of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Hernandez was found dead and badly decomposed in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to the WITHERED artist in September 2025. The investigation into D4vd began last month, with more crucial evidence and allegations of the alt-rock vocalist having romantic involvement with Hernandez being brought to light.
Prosecutors claim that D4vd summoned Hernandez to his Hollywood Hills home on April 23, 2025, and killed the teen by stabbing her after lying in wait. Allegations of D4vd trying to hide and dispose of Hernandez’s body have also surfaced, including reports of the singer purchasing tools online such as two chainsaws, a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags, and an inflatable pool under a false name.
In a livestream on Friday (May 8), Pokimane briefly discussed her past friendship with D4vd and how unsettled she's become in the months since Hernandez's body was found.
"Even talking about it right now just makes me like... It just makes me nervous and have like a pit in my stomach," she said, calling the murder details "gruesome and horrific." "And I think just constantly reading those headlines was really getting to me. I was getting nightmares about it. And just thinking like this arrested murderer pedophile was someone who was in my home. Who connected me with so many other people. We have so many mutuals."
Pokimane went on to call it "scary that no one suspected anything like that." "People are like dissecting his videos and lyrics and all this stuff. And since he had me in one of his music videos, I was like, does that mean anything?" she pondered.
Pokimane appeared in D4vd’s 2025 music video for "What Are You Waiting For?" which co-starred streamer Jasontheween. Streamer N3on also recently cringed at briefly meeting the singer in the past and forgot that they encountered each other during an IRL stream.
"Yo, bro, you’re a fucking weirdo, you’re gonna rot in jail. Worse than jail, you’re going to rot in hell," N3on warned during a recent stream. "And you’re an absolute fucking psychopath, brother. … Don’t watch my streams in prison."
D4vd is next due back in court for a status hearing on Tuesday, May 12.
