Leonardo DiCaprio won't be revealing who he was talking to during his recent viral Golden Globes moment anytime soon.

The One Battle After Another star, who received his eighth Academy Awards nomination on Thursday (January 22), spoke to Deadline in a new profile, where he was asked about the hilarious awards moment.

In the clip, DiCaprio was seen pointing at someone and mouthing "K-Pop," possibly referring to Netflix animated musical K-Pop Demon Hunters. As the moment went on, the actor got increasingly animated, clapping his hands and giggling before signing what appeared to be an awards program.

"It was directed to a friend, but at the end of the day, who knows if this other person that I was talking to wants me to even mention their name?" DiCaprio told Deadline. "So, as the lead character says in A Bronx Tale, I’m not a rat."

Fellow One Battle star Teyana Taylor, who won this year's Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, appeared on Access Hollywood after her win and claimed that DiCaprio was talking to her in the clip. The singer and actor would later walk her comments back on an episode of The Tonight Show.

"So when I first seen [the video], I didn’t watch the whole thing," Taylor told host Jimmy Fallon. "So I was like, ‘Oh you’re talking about KPop Demon Hunters, he’s talking about me.' But then I watched it and they was doing the lip-read thing, and I had to call Leo."

She continued: "I was like, 'You can’t be talking to me, were you talking to me? Because I already told people you was talking to me.' So apparently he had two KPop Demon Hunter conversations that night, so KPop Demon Hunters was just in his mouth all night."

DiCaprio was nominated for Best Actor In a Motion Picture at the 2026 Golden Globes, which he lost to Timothée Chalamet.
