Chilli and Matthew Lawerence have revealed that they would rather talk through their differences than argue.

The '90s icons, who began dating in 2022, were guests on the Thursday (December 18) episode of Sherri, where they discussed their relationship dealbreaker. Apparently, the pair have taken a note out of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's playbook and have never argued.

"We don't fight. We have disagreements..." Chilli (real name Rozanda Thomas) told the show's host.

"You can disagree on things but I could never even imagine raising my voice [at Chilli]," Lawerence said. "Which is weird. I've been in relationships where you do and you go back and [forth]. I could never do that [with Chilli]. There's too much respect."

"And the way my acid reflux is set up," Chilli joked. "It needs to be easy. It's possible to be that way."

"When you think about it, you want to talk out your differences and you don't have to yell at each other to do that," the singer continued. "If I'm upset and he's upset or whatever, then sometimes, let's talk about this later so we're not yelling at each other or saying something that we're gonna wanna apologize for it because you hurt their feelings."

The TLC singer added that she's gained the "wisdom" after previous relationships. Chilli shares an adult son, Tron, with music producer Dallas Austin and also dated Usher in the early 2000s. Lawrence was married to professional dancer Cheryl Burke from 2019 to 2022.

In the 2023 People interview that talk show host Sherri Shepherd mentioned, Chilli explained that she and her boyfriend "communicate very well with each other" and resist arguing.

"I didn't want a relationship that I had to work so hard in," she told the publication.
